2. Your Bedroom Is Now A Storage Closet

Digital Game Museum / FlickrYour bedroom is supposed to be your own personal space. In many cases, the bedroom you have at home is somewhere you have lived for many years and feels like one of the few spaces that is uniquely yours. It is galling, therefore, to return from uni to see that your personal space has been turned into little more than a glorified storage room in your absence. Boxes of unwanted items, from clothing to Christmas decorations, are stacked on top of your desk and chair, leaving barely enough room for you to move back in to the place that is supposed to be your home. Even when you've managed to arrange enough room for yourself, family members are forever popping in and out of your room to retrieve some of the stuff they've left behind. What was once your bedroom is now nothing more than an extra cupboard for your family.
1. All Of Your Money Is Gone

Hanna-Barbera ProductionsStudent loans are great... for a while. It doesn't take too long for the money to worm its way out of your bank account and, once it's gone, money is very tight indeed. By the time summer comes around, students tend to be looking ahead to a few months of an empty wallet. Even getting a job isn't enough to solve the problem. The wages for student summer jobs are absolutely pitiful and the work is beyond horrible. On paper, summer should be a great opportunity for fun. The weather is lovely and there's a tonne of stuff to do, but it all costs money. The worst thing about being a student home for the summer is being stuck in the house watching everyone else have the time of their lives.
