20 Reasons Why Owning A Dog Is Like Having A Toddler

16. They Can Be Horribly Unpredictable

Toddlers can suddenly erupt into eardrum-exploding tantrums in the middle of a shopping trip with seemingly no warning, and it seems that doggy behaviour can be similarly unpredictable. One minute you're having an innocent staring contest with your dog and the next you get bitch-slapped around the face (pun intended).

15. Your Food Is Always Much More Exciting Than Theirs

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TNzWm8evt8I Toddlers are constantly grabbing things from your plate with their sticky hands when they have a perfectly good plate of food in front of them, simply because stolen food tastes so much better. It's the same for dogs. Why would you stick to eating biscuits when there's bacon to beg for, chicken carcasses to pull out of the bin and freshly baked goodies to snatch from the kitchen counter? Human food is so much more interesting than dog food.

14. They Are Endlessly Amazed By Their Own Reflections

This poor dog is absolutely baffled when he looks around the back of the mirror and nothing is there.
