You have this predetermined image of what they're going to look like; similar to how you thought Harry Potter was going to look like before Daniel Radcliffe was cast and he sadly looked nothing like how you imagined. This is your mind failing you before you've even had the date and given the poor person a chance. You base everything on their name anyway. If they have an ugly name - especially a surname - you know that there's no chance you're going to end up with them forever if their surname is Gulia and your name is Julia... You want them to have a good name like Aragorn, because when was there ever an ugly Aragorn?
