19. Met Hate
Upon arriving at Cardiff University, you quickly realise an absolute truth. It is, without a doubt, the best university in the city. This means, by extension, that no other university can compare. As a result, you have an immediate and profound distrust of anyone who goes to Cardiff Met (formerly UWIC). At best, their presence makes you feel a little weary whenever they are present. At worst, you have to leave the room when the person sat opposite you admits that they go to Met. You become an expert in differentiating between those who say 'I go to Cardiff University' and 'I go to university in Cardiff.' Nothing will put a dampener on a night out than realign that the person you've just made friends with is actually studying at Met instead of Cardiff Uni.
With a (nearly) useless degree in English literature and a personal trainer qualification he's never used, Freddie spends his times writing things that he hopes will somehow pay the rent.
