6. 'You Get A Pretty Decent Salary'
It's decent in the sense that you can afford to live (just) but it does not reflect the amount of hours you put in after school and the effort that you put in, in school. Being a teacher is part of who you are now, even when you're out shopping you think of things that the children will like and what you can teach them with a banana, and apple and a coat hanger. You are ultimately helping to develop children into adults and those adults into doctors, lawyers and writers, no matter what stage you teach. You deserve a higher salary.
