4. Good Friends Are Invaluable

With all the good people that have already come and gone in your life, you probably have at least a couple that have been there for a good few years, and will be there for at least a good few more. Good friends are essential to your happiness, and three loyal, interesting and reliable friends are worth far more than 30 acquaintances. Luckily, you get to choose your friends, so if there is someone who takes a lot, offers little and is unreliable - you don't have to suffer them unnecessarily. There are always opportunities to make new friends, too, as long as you are open to the idea of it.
