I would say that 2013 was the year that you couldn't move for seeing Benedict Cumberbatch. But Sherlock's going to air again in 2014, so I'll hold my breath on that one. Whether he starred in 'The Fifth Estate', the fantastic '12 Years a Slave' or even his
otter memes, Cumberbatch absolutely shone, propelling himself to be one of the most sought-after men in Hollywood. And 2014 is set to become another busy year for Ben, starting with his return as super-sleuth Holmes on New Year's Day at 9 o'clock. The Cumbercollective will only grow in numbers.
14. Kanye West Returns With A God Complex

He doesn't even have to release a record to hit the headlines, but 2013 not only brought us the fantastic 'Yeezus', it saw Kanye West become one of the most talked about men of the year. Picking a highlight would be difficult, though naming his daughter North West and casting his girlfriend Kim Kardashian in the cheese-tastic 'Bound 2' are definitely what he'll be remembered for this year. Then there was the unbelievable Zane Lowe interview, and a brilliant Anchorman 2 cameo to look out for; he's working on an Anchorman album with Paul Rudd by the way, and Will Ferrell says it's "awful".
