22 Amazing Fictional Swear Words Everyone Should Use In Real Life

3. Glob (Adventure Time)

Taken from the name of the deity worshipped by the inhabitants of Ooo in Adventure Time, Grob Gob Glob Grod, its name (or at least one of them) is regularly taken in vain by the characters of Adventure Time. You'll regularly hear Lumpy Space Princess exclaiming "Oh my Glob!", but Finn, Jake and Ice King join in the blasphemy on occasion. More than anything, it's amusing to think that such a silly name belongs to an all-powerful being.

2. Prawn (District 9)

For some people, yelling "You f***ing prawn!" was just a normal part of their vocabulary for a few months after Neill Blomkamp's sci-fi racist allegory came out at the cinemas. Perhaps they were relieved at having an epithet to scream at people that thankfully wouldn't get them in trouble because the people it oppressed were fictional aliens, or perhaps they just enjoyed being able to yell the word 'prawn' with vigour and gusto.

1. Shazbot (Mork & Mindy)

Made famous by the late Robin Williams as the inimitable Mork, the word shazbot did at one point enter the popular lexicon, but soon waned after Mork & Mindy ended. There are occasional references to the word in films and television to this day, but it would be great to see the word make a comeback, being as it is a joyful exclamation of distress or surprise. What do you think? Are you going to pick up any of these words and tell your friends about them? Did we miss any crackers? Let us know in the comments!
