3. Nixon May Have Been Related To King Edward III Of England... And Was Named After Richard The Lionheart
Some may argue Nixon saw himself as royalty and above the law - and it may have been the case that he did actually have distant monarchical blood. It is believed that Nixon was descended from King Edward III, who served on the English throne between 1327 and 1377, and that would make him of royal heritage. Also, Nixon was even named after Richard the Lionheart (King Richard I England) - while three of his four brothers (Harold, Arthur and Edward) were also named after monarchs, with Donald the only sibling not to be given a royal moniker.
