5. Having To 'Tone Down' So People Understand You

blogs.gartner.com No, not just for foreign speaking people. We're talking English speaking citizens, even British inhabitants, who, basically, don't have a clue what we're saying half the time. You thought your accent was barely noticeable, but say the words 'bath', 'almond', 'moor' and 'book' to someone that isn't from the North East, and you might as well be speaking Mandarin.
