9. You Don't Care If They Take Their Business Elsewhere

Normally when a client threatens to take their business elsewhere, they are looking for some sort of discount or freebie. They literally will never believe that you don't have the authority to do that (or that you really don't care if thy leave either). Do they think that you're going to break down and beg them to stay? Maybe if you're having an emotional day you might persuade them to remain loyal, but even then, it's unlikely.
