While Carl and Ellie may not have done anything extraordinary in their lifetime, they had a truly magical marriage. In the shortest time, they showed you what true love is and how to achieve it. Love can transform you and understandably, Carl changed into a different person when Ellie was taken from him. They were best friends, they appreciated each other and the little things, and they were honoured to have found love with that other person.
