When you finally do cave in and start eating the stock, you quickly realise two things.

First, that nobody actually cares as long as you leave some for the customers and don't wander round with a chocolate beard. And second, that you're expending so much energy running back and forth from the stockroom to find specific products or restock the shelves that, no matter how much you eat, it's all being burned off.

Turns out working in a chocolate shop saves on both food bills and gym membership.

With a (nearly) useless degree in English literature and a personal trainer qualification he's never used, Freddie spends his times writing things that he hopes will somehow pay the rent. He's also a former professional singer, and plays the saxophone and ukulele. He's not really used to talking about himself in the third person, and would like to stop now, thanks.
