It's really hard not to like a loveable animal with a lot of personality. Especially when that animal has been known to save humans from other predators such as sharks. Of course, we're referring to the dolphin, man's best friend of the sea. The dolphin has grown popular with people in many cultures. It jumps out of the water to say high in our harbors, and as previously mentioned will save us in times of danger. You could say that dolphins love peopleĀ maybe a little too much. People forget that dolphins are still wild animals, unpredictable, dangerous, and frisky during mating season. In more than one occasion sexually frustrated male dolphins seeking to get it on have attacked divers. When the dolphin fails to gain admittance with his human partner, the animal will try to push the diver to the ocean floor to have its way. Fortunately, this has not lead to anyone drowning yet. Apparently, frustrated male sea turtles have been known to try the same thing.
