25. Churchill's Speeches Were So Popular They Have Been In The UK Charts... Twice
Winston Churchill's speeches not only inspired a nation to survive the Blitz and on to victory during World War II - they have also entered the UK popular music charts... twice. Shortly after his death in 1965, an album entitled The Voice Of - which featured some of his most-famous speeches - made its way into the UK charts. Then, in 2010, Reach For The Skies - an album by the RAF's Central Band, featuring some of Churchill's rousing speeches from the Second World War set to music - debuted at No 4 in the charts. Not bad for a man who'd been dead for 45 years by then...
