Disney Animal Kingdom David Greybeard

There are over 300 animals carved into the Tree of Life, one has a particular animal on that is extra special.

The chimpanzee that appears close to It's Tough to Be a Bug is modeled on famous chimp, David Greybeard.

Apparently primatologist Jane Goodall came to the park during its construction and asked if the Tree of Life would have a chimpanzee carved into it. Promptly Disney carved one on the image of David Greybeard, the first chimpanzee that Goodall observed making tools in the wild.
