19. People Love Telling You You're Halfway To 50

"Happy birthday! You're 25 now - and that means you're half way to being fifty years old!" Yes, thank you grandma, you can do maths yourself. But, just like when you were ten and being 25 seemed miles and miles away, 50 feels like that to you now. Ok, so you've turned 25 quicker than you thought (wow, this birthday really rolled around quick), but 50? You won't be seeing that age for a long time. That's twice your own lifetime already.
