Northumbria and Newcastle Universities have a long and storied history of competition but it all boils down to one thing. One's a propagator of booze-soaked social outings and a lack of studying in favour of one more tumbler of skittles in Basement. 4. Get Carter/Goal/Byker Grove/Purely Belter
BBCNeed we say more? Okay the last one really isn't as good as the other two, and Goal wasn't ever going to win any Oscars, but it's still awesome just for that Brian Johnson cameo and seeing our beloved city on the big screen again. And Byker Grove is the most important TV show of all time, exploring key issues like teenage homosexuality, bullying, health and safety during paintballing and of course when Spuggy was going to get "proper boobs".
