1. Final Fantasy XV (TBA)
Under the name Final Fantasy Versus XIII, the game was first shown off at E3 2006, and after a lengthy period of non-information, it was finally re-branded as FFXV in 2013. It's safe to say that the game certainly looks fantastic and the gameplay demo released has received largely positive reviews, but as ever, it always hinges on the classically flimsy, incomprehensible, fan-servicey stories which have become increasingly groansome over the last decade or so. If FFXV can return to the nuance and memorable characters of the PS1 era in particular, then this could be the renaissance the series has been long in need of. If not, it'll probably be a visually stunning RPG you'll play through once "just because" and then never touch again, much like the woefully disappointing Final Fantasy XIII.
