11. Charleston Church Shooting
The latest gun massacres to come out of the US in recent years this time saw 21-year-old Dylann Roof shoot and kill 9 people during a prayer service at Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church. Included in the victims were senior pastor and state senator Clementa C. Pinkney. During questioning Roof was discovered as having links to the white supremacist movement, and he declared that his intentions was to help ignite a race war.
