25. Pope Francis Visits The U.S. For The Very First Time
September saw Pope Francis€™ first ever visit to the US, where he took part in a whirlwind 6-day tour across 3 cities. It included a talk to a joint session of congress in Washington DC, a holding Mass at Madison Square Garden, and a visit to inmates held at Curran-Fromholm Correctional Facility. Throughout the visit Pope Francis urged people young and old, rich and poor, to pray for him.
