3. Phones Which Have Gorilla Glass Screens Can't Break
I love hearing this myth, because it just shows how people don't always listen to what they are saying, while they are saying it. Glass that doesn't break doesn't exist for the fact that it is glass, as to whether or not they could use other materials to replace glass, I'm unsure of that, but glass is the most responsive. They previously had a plastic synthetic screen on touch screens in the older versions of touch phones and they are rubbish. Gorilla Glass is being used in all the latest touch screen phones, including the iPhone, Samsung Galaxy Phones, Nokia and HTC, all of which are capable of having the screen broken, and with an increasing trend towards attaching the Touch Screen to the LCD, it makes the repair of the screen even more expensive.
Fact: Glass is glass, and while Gorilla Glass is more flexible, it is not unbreakable. The truth behind the Gorilla Glass is actually a marketing tool. Glass so strong, it won't break, and all of a sudden 1000 extra handsets have been sold to people who are sick of that glass that is really easy to break, because it's GLASS. Glass is the best to use for being responsive to the touch, and it also helps that they are slick and work well the the look of phones. If you have a touch screen phone, it can break, smash or crack for the sake that it is glass and that is what they use for the screen on touch screen phones. This marketing tool has been very effective as we've had several customers breaking their phones and being perplexed by the fact that the advertisement had said that the phone was made from Gorilla Glass, and was therefore unbreakable.
