4 Things We Learned From The Volcano Bay Story Reveal At Universal Orlando Resort

1. The Park Will Be Open Well Into The Evening

Universal Volcano Bay At Night

Unlike the majority of water parks, Volcano Bay is not just a day time park. Dale was very clear that the park is very much alive at night too...

When the park is open in the evening... everything will be open... we think is going to be really, really special to be open at night.

The park has been designed to change from day to night. The canvas roofs over the buildings will become "lanterns along the beach" as light passes through the patterned fabric...

Our volcano which is a water volcano by day, then at night it becomes a fire volcano....There's a waterfall that falls off the face of the volcano, 170ft, it's actually taller than Niagara Falls here in the United States... At night it will become a fire fall. The water will all appear as if it is lava.

It seems there will be surprises in store for all those who visit Volcano Bay. Universal have been clear from the start that the park is not just a water park, it is a water theme park. There's no waiting in line, no carrying rafts and more to discover than the unique water slides.

We call it a water theme park, it's more than just a collection of slides... It's also about the resort feel of the park, that it's much bigger, much richer experience than your average water park.

Volcano Bay opens 25th May with tickets already on sale.
