3. One Does Not Simply Walk Into Mordor

The Lord Of The Rings trilogy is a film series loved by many across the world, from fans of the original J.R.R Tolkien literary works to individuals ignorant of the source material but appreciative of high quality cinema. A scene in the first film, the Fellowship Of The Ring, features a number of representatives from Middle Earth debating what to do with the Ring of Power that has come into Frodo Baggins possession. One such representative is Sean Beans Boromir, who is in favour of using the ring rather than destroying it, seeing the latter as an impossible task, given that its destruction can only take place in a mountain within the borders of Mordor. Given the seeming impossibility of getting anywhere near this location, he utters the now-immortal line - one does not simply walk into Mordor Spoofed by many across the web, who alter the line to include other difficult tasks as they see fit, the meme has found its way into Google Maps, where searching for walking directions from either Rivendell or The Shire to Mordor will lead to the following result.
