5 Amusing Easter Eggs Hidden Within Google Services

4. Zerg Rush

zergrush Analogous to the real-life blitzkrieg military tactic, in which armies swarm and overwhelm an unprepared opponent, rushing is a technique utilised by both players and the AI in real-time strategy and team-based shooting games. Blizzard€™s StarCraft, released in 2000, featured three species battling it out for control of a distant planet, each with the option to carry out a rushing manoeuvre through their ability to summon hordes of weak creatures. One of these three species, the zerg, somehow became more associated with this tactic than their counterparts, leading to a reference being inserted into the Google search engine. Whilst typing in €˜marine rush€™ or €˜zealot rush€™ will do nothing, the entry of €˜zerg rush€™ into the search box causes a swarm of O€™s to rapidly devour everything on the screen, as seen below. zergrush2
