2. Pteranodon Flyers
This Islands of Adventure offering is incredibly boring. Don't get me wrong, I know it's for the kids, but the themeing is incredibly poor and there could have been so much more to this ride than just a slow, monotonous journey around a very plain, lifeless track. It doesn't really go anywhere or offer any interesting views. It could have gone inside with animatronic dinosaurs flying and stomping around, but instead it saunters around outside with no interesting visuals other than the park itself. Plus, its top speed of 15mph is terribly slow even for kids. It not only makes the ride lack any excitement, but it also makes the number of riders per hour and rider turnaround extremely slow which, at peak times, is terrible for queuing (indeed, a half hour wait for this ride will ultimately result in disappointment for even the most timid of children). This isn't helped by the fact that only six people can be on the ride at any one time (three vehicles which each seat two people). Replacing it with a proper, dinosaur-themed kiddy coaster seems like a good idea to me.
