5 Doomsday Predictions We Can Look Forward To (And 3 In The Distant Future)

Doctor F. Kenton Beshore - who is the president of the World Bible Society - based his doomsday prediction on the suggestion that Jesus would return within one generation of the founding of Israel. That date range was believed to have expired in 1988, however the Pastor argues that the definition of a generation is incorrect and the return of Jesus will actually happen 70 or 80 years after Israel was founded.

His date range places the second coming between 2018 and 2028 with a rapture taking place no later than 2021, followed by 7 years of suffering before Christ establishes a new kingdom.

Dr. Beshore holds 5 doctorate degrees in theology so he has certainly put in the time to understand the texts he is reading before making his conclusions. However, it is possible his claims are scare tactics intended to lure people back into the church under the fear of harsh suffering for those left behind during the rapture. No different than many religious end of the world claims that have come and gone with no consequence in our past.

With doomsday predictions such as this one, only time will tell if Dr. Beshore’s interpretation of the texts is accurate or if becomes yet another end of days claim date that comes and goes with little fan fare.
