5 Things Apple Must Do To Stay Relevant In 2014

1. Let Yourself Fail

If there's one thing we've all noticed about Apple's recent moves in the marketplace, it's been that they haven't done too many things "wrong." With the exception of the disaster that was Apple Maps, the company hasn't really misfired on any of its new products. The problem, however, is that this does nothing for the future. Almost everything that Apple is famous for now - the iPhone, iPad, and Mac - started out as massive failures. Case in point, the Apple Newton. Apple doesn't need to be a perfect company that is too afraid to take chances. A string of cheaper iPhones with new colors doesn't do this. In fact, breaking the rules and conventional wisdom is something Apple used to be known for. While Google was bragging about not being "evil," Apple was focusing more on being as close to a robber baron as it gets. As a result, Apple failed and succeeded like a capitalistic machine, winning over the hearts of countless people who fell in love with the marriage of design and quality that makes Apple unmistakable. It's time for Apple to revisit this and move forward. Do you think Apple can reclaim their market power? Share your own thoughts below in the comments thread.
