2. The Forbidden Journey Is A Ride Like No Other

Unlike the ride in Orlando, Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey in Hollywood is in 3D but Thierry Coup was keen to point out the other ways that Universal have looked to improve the ride, with each scene "completely enhanced...all scenes expanded".

All the sets in the ride are more detailed than before, including the arms of the terrifying Dementors and the detail of the massive spiders in the Forbidden Forest scenes. The escaped dragon will get closer to you than ever before - Coup wanted the 3D experience to be so real that guests will believe that they are close enough to grab the flying golden snitch, as well as feel the chilling breath of the Dementors.

And rather than ordinary 3D glasses, riders of the Forbidden Journey don specially made Quidditch goggles when flying around the castle - the perfect attire for when you join Harry in a Gryffindor vs Slytherin Quidditch match.

The ride will make you feel like you are flying over the grounds of Hogwarts, turning and swooping as you go. It's an amazing experience... but if you are prone to motion sickness, you might want to wait until after the ride to indulge in Butterbeer.
