Scott MacIntyre, who is a former common-law spouse of the mayor's sister, didn't really like Rob Ford. So when he and Rob's sister Kathy broke it off back in the Spring of 2012, Scott began harassing the Mayor and his family. Rob responded in a way any rational, law-abiding Mayor would: He had the man arrested, and beaten so badly it resulted in numerous broken bones and broken teeth. This is the story Scott would have you believe (and has been claiming since the beating first took place). Knowing what we know now about Rob Ford, I'd say this isn't outside the realm of possibility.
