1. His Father Was An Active Politician As Well
When Ford ran for Mayor of Toronto, he did so on a platform of the "Political Outsider". However, that's not exactly true. Not only was his brother elected to City Council, filling Rob's own seat (after being made vacant for his Mayoral run), but his Father was an active politician in the 90's as well. Indeed, in Toronto, the Ford family is well known and connected. At the end of a quiet Toronto street the Douglas B. Ford Park actually backs into the house in which Rob Ford Sr. raised his children.
