2. He Might Be Calling Into Radio Shows, Pretending To Be Someone Else, And Singing His Own Praises
During the afternoon drive portion of AM640, a caller who says he was "Ian from Etobicoke" wanted to discuss Rob Ford and his situation with the now-infamous crack video. "Ian" proceeds to defend Mayor Ford and passes it off as "a personal matter". The DJ, Bill Carroll (who says he has met and talked to the Mayor many times) then begins to accuse the caller of being Rob Ford himself, citing similarities in his cadence and voice. The caller then hangs up, likely scared of being caught. Bill later said he was "90 to 95 percent" certain that the caller was Mayor Ford himself. Later on, others began speculating that the caller may have been Rob's brother Doug, as the two share a remarkable amount of features, including voice.
