7 Harry Potter Characters Sorted Into The Wrong Hogwarts House
3. Percy Weasley Should Be Slytherin
Percy Weasley, Ron's third oldest brother, was Harry's first Gryffindor prefect. While he clearly earned his spot as a prefect, it's probably for the wrong house.
Percy had been trying for prefect since his first year, and the second he got it, he started longing to become Head Boy. He loves positions of power and clearly shows some serious ambition, even from a young age. As such, Percy would have been a much better fit for Slytherin.
Though Percy would break the long tradition of Weasleys in Gryffindor, Slytherin would better help him channel his ambition. Percy is a natural leader who takes everything seriously. Gryffindors tend to follow their own path, often ignoring leaders, and to take almost nothing seriously, as shown by Percy's Gryffindor brothers Fred and George.
Although he'd be the only Slytherin, or non-Gryffindor, in his family, Percy would have been much better suited at Hogwarts wearing green and silver robes.
