7 Harry Potter Characters Sorted Into The Wrong Hogwarts House
4. Minerva McGonagall Should Be Ravenclaw
Professor Minerva McGonagall performs one of the very first magical acts in the entire series. When we first see her, she appears to be a stray cat, but soon transformed back into herself.
We later learn that she is an Animagus, a witch or wizard who can turn themselves into an animal. It's a very rare ability since it is so hard to master, and only the brightest magic users can pull it off. The only other Animagi we see are the Mauraders, who learn the skill to accompany Remus when he becomes a werewolf.
McGonagall's mastery of this impossible skill shows just how brilliant she is. She's also risen above the ranks at Hogwarts to become Dumbledore's second in command all because of her intelligence. She should absolutely have been a Ravenclaw, not a Gryffindor.
McGonagall has always been more concerned with the students' learning, even more than their being brave and bold. Hopefully, she can transfigure her red and gold robes to blue and bronze.
