2. The Western Area In The Ride Is Called Phantom Canyon

When the earthquake that killed Henry Ravenswood and his wife, the devastation took with it part of the town of Thunder Mesa.

The sunken town became the home of the Phantom's ghostly friends and became known instead as Phantom Canyon.

Here we see a literal ghost town and meet some of the residents there, including The Mayor with a familiar voice. Paul Frees who voices the Ghost Host at in the US's Haunted Mansion attraction and in Phantom Canyon we get to hear a bit of that famous dialogue.
