You know what's great? Wine.

You know what's not great? Paying for wine.

Making your own alcohol definitely counts as a home science experiment, you can learn all about the chemical processes that are involved in turning boring old fruit juice (bleurgh) into tasty tasty wine.

Not only that, but you can save money. The recipe shown in the video will probably yield around 20 bottles of wine for £30, that's about £1.50 per bottle, even less if you can grow your own fruit. Seeing as an even half decent bottle of wine will set you back at least a fiver, that's a massive saving (and you get hipster points).

Plus, you know, you get wine at the end of it.
