8 Embarrassing Mistakes You Won't Believe People On Dating Sites Make

7. The Stalkers

Unfortunately online dating hasn't bettered the chances of you not meeting a strange person, in fact, quite the opposite. It also doesn't guarantee you safety from somebody who just won't leave you alone; stalkers really can't take the hint, and continue their pursuit of a person when it's clear the other party is not interested. It's because of such situations that a 'block' button was invented. Almost like an online restraining order, these stalkers will send multiple messages on a daily basis regardless if there is a reply. It creeps people out and looks incredibly needy, or so I've been told. Also, the continued pursuit only worsens your chances with the person in question, as nobody likes to have somebody carry on pestering them when they aren't saying anything back. What goes through the head of these people when they send message after message? A lot of times it can happen when somebody will send an opening message to somebody they like, but will not receive a reply. Instead of moving on, they send another message, as if the other party failed to read the first one. Then the pursuit inexplicably continues until a wedge is driven between the two.
