3. The "I Know The Owner"
The "I know the owner" customer is the most self-centred, egomaniacal person at the bar. They seem to believe that the world revolves around them and that their potential friendship with the owner is essentially a ticket to a lifetime of free drinks. These people seem to think that just because you work for the bar, and they may know the person that is your employer that they are also technically your employer as well. I've worked at a few different bars for a few different owners in my time and unless specifically pointed out by the owner, or ordered by the owner, no one gets free drinks, because the owner is trying to make money, not lose it to their freeloading 'friends'. From my experiences, I'd say roughly half the time it's a lie anyway. The person may genuinely be convinced that they know the owner, but chances are they don't and they are trying to use the line to either get a discount or free drinks because they are also tight asses. Luckily it's the easiest thing to call them on.
Standard Order - "I'm best friends with the owner/manager, can we get some free drinks"
