5. Rollin With Dice & Wheels
"I'm over heah," Andrew "Dice" Clay chants in the show's theme song, as if to tell us that not only is he still here, but that he never really went away. Dice is an acquired taste for some, an absolute pariah to others, but that's always been part of his appeal. At 56, he hardly seems ready to slip into the role of elder statesman. After one listen to his podcast, co-hosted by long-time friend Michael "Wheels" Parise, you'll understand why. He hasn't changed a bit, and we love him for it. One thing that sets this show apart from most is its party tape quality. For a show hosted by the man who sold out Madison Square Garden two nights in a row, it tends to make you feel like you're eavesdropping on an actual conversation. Many episodes are recorded over the phone. One misadventure involved Dice and Wheels taking their microphone around a hotel to see if they could record intimate sounds within the rooms. The whole show has the most natural feel of any of its type, completely without frills. The best comedy is shared amongst friends. Rollin With Dice and Wheels gets it right.
