8 Reasons Why Maleficent And Daenerys Targaryen Are Basically The Same Person

7. They're Both High-Born

We don€™t really know much about Maleficent€™s past€ or present, for that matter. All we do know is that upon crashing Aurora€™s royal birthday celebration like a boss, she was addressed by Queen Leah as €œYour Excellency.€ That, and she has a sweet castle not too far from King Stefan€™s. Chances are Walt Disney Pictures circa 1959 wasn€™t too concerned with going in-depth about a villain€™s backstory, so we€™ll leave that to Robert Stromberg€™s interpretation with Lady Cheekbones herself, Angelina Jolie, starring in the title role. Daenerys Targaryen is the only surviving heir of the Mad King, Aerys II Targaryen. Therefore, she (arguably) has the most legitimate claim to the Iron Throne. (Depending on whom you ask, of course.) With her many fancy titles (e.g. Daenerys of House Targaryen, the First of Her Name, Princess of Dragonstone, Queen of Andals and the First Men, Lady Regnant of the Seven Kingdoms, Protector of the Realm, Khaleesi of the Great Grass Sea, Breaker of Chains, Mother of Dragons, Queen of Meereen, etc.), you know she€™s the real deal. An OG, if you will.
