War, as you may know, is kinda dangerous, so many militaries are investing in robotic soldiers in an attempt to keep more of their human counterparts out of harm's way.

Many of these warbots are being developed for use in combat, reconnaissance and rescue missions, with the ability to navigate tough terrain, identify fire and no-fire zones and even to drag injured humans out of dangerous situations.

Whilst it seems like a pretty good idea to keep as many humans out of combat zones as possible, there are some who think this could have a detrimental effect as well. When there are no human lives at stake, missions can become more reckless and, as such, collateral can skyrocket. One thing that can temper war and prevent escalating chaos, is the need for caution in order to keep your men alive.

That said, a future in which man and machine fight side by side on the battlefield is becoming more of a reality every day.
