8 Robots That Will Put You Out Of A Job

Possibly the most vulnerable workers to the robot revolution will be the legions of those in middle-skilled jobs, performing vital administrative tasks that are routine and repetitive. Hey it might not be as sexy and exciting as robonauts and doctor bots, but this is representative of a massive section of society.

Secretaries, data entry clerks, tax preparers, PAs, travel agents, air traffic control - there are a lot of skills in there that can be written into software and, considering that these are not usually minimum wage jobs, automating them would save even more money for business owners.

Whilst we will probably still need real people to deal with customer enquiries, complaints and the more "human" side of these jobs, but the increasing automation is allowing us to do more work with fewer people. Whilst this is obviously a saving on the employer's part, it's pretty bad news for the people whose livelihoods depend on those vital repetitive administrative tasks.
