9 Craziest Things We Learned From The Alex Jones-Joe Rogan Podcast

One of the best things about this episode, and other JRE podcasts, is that when Joe hears about something that sounds absolutely barmy for the first time, he usually reacts in a similar way to us as the audience. So when podcast regular and serial troll Eddie Bravo asked Jones whether it was true or not that Mayans smoked blood from their penises, Rogan and everyone else thought it was another one of Bravo's jokes, but it's actually partially true.

While there's no real proof that the Mayans sliced their genitals open, rolled it up and smoked it like one of Rogan's joints, bloodletting was a huge part of the Mayan culture and was used as a way of speaking to the gods that they believed in. The Mayans would take the blood from either their penis or tongue, place it on some paper and then burn it.

The sheer thought of getting some sort of sharp object and piercing one of those areas above should cause some sort of universal psychological ball-ache to every man who listened to that part of the episode, but it's definitely incredibly interesting to know how far people were willing to go to please the deities.
