9 Craziest Things We Learned From The Alex Jones-Joe Rogan Podcast
7. Clearing Up Sandy Hook
One of the main gripes people have had with Jones and his conspiracy theories is that it they can cause harm to people who have zero stake or interest in his shenanigans. A perfect example would be the parents and families who've had to deal with the fallout of the Sandy Hook shooting in 2012.
There were false accusations that the event was staged, the children weren't killed and that the parents were actually crisis actors who'd been hired by the government. The families were harassed and taunted by those who believed they were lying and many considered Jones to be the catalyst for this situation as he reported on it.
To be fair to him, he does admit his faults regarding his reporting of the situation as he was quite clearly wrong and unethical. However, it's interesting to see how, in a world that has latched onto 'cancel culture', someone who is as provocative as Jones is able to navigate and attempt to make up for his own mistakes.
