Disney's Tomorrowland is a themed portion of Disney which depicts various beliefs and speculations about the future. Walt Disney himself was known for his futurist views and endless fascination with what the world would be like moving forward, and Tomorrowland was born of his curiosity.

The park is currently known for rides like Space Mountain and Star Tours, but not too long ago it was planned to see a major overhaul. In 1993 The Walt Disney Company was set to refurbish the park into Tomorrowland 2055. Not only was Tomorrowland 2055 to take park-goers even farther into the future, it was also to feature a massive extraterrestrial bent, with Mission To Mars being replaced with ExtraTERRORestrial Alien Encounter, a darkly comedic sci-fi theatre show for guests above the age of twelve.

In the end, Tomorrowland 2055 was scrapped due to the poor initial financial performance of Euro Disneyland, which changed the company's focus on expansion. But who knows what alien attractions they might have cooked up.
