Undoubtedly one of the most fascinating places in all of Disney World is the World Showcase located at Epcot, Florida. There, it's possible for guests to visit and explore various cultures from around the world, including Mexico, China, Germany, Japan, Morocco and the United Kingdom.

These different sections include fascinating details about each culture and the chance to explore their home cuisine, as well as the ability to talk to native staff. Which makes it all the more disappointing, then, that the planned Iran Pavilion never came to be.

The best part about the World Pavilion is the chance to explore cultures that one is typically ignorant of or doesn't have easy access to – the Iran Pavilion was to feature a dramatic ride that explored various aspects of Persia history. Not only that, but a traditional bazaar was to show off various Iranian goods and services. When it came down to it, however, the Iran Pavilion was scrapped after the Iranian Revolution saw the upheaval of the Shah of Iran and communications disintegrated.
