It is unarguably one of Stephen King's most famous and iconic novels, spawning the terrifying clown Pennywise. Published in 1986, the story follows the antics of seven children as they're terrorized by “It”, a being which exploits the phobias of its victims in order to hunt them down.

Near the beginning of the book, King writes that if George had seen Pennywise a year later (which would make the year 1958) he would immediately have thought of Ronald McDonald. This isn't possible, however, as Ronald McDonald didn't make his TV debut until around 1963, making the mental comparison impossible.

Not only that, but later in the book the Kissing Bridge is described as being struck by lightening at nineteen minutes past six in the morning, blowing the structure to pieces. Later on, the bridge is detailed as having been struck at ten in the morning, a discrepancy of almost four hours.
