The initial minute outlay on a Windows PC may seem attractive, but the constant need for repairs and replacement parts will eventually render them incredibly expensive - until you finally give in and buy a new one, with the same results.

The reason that they are cheaper is that they are built to be simple and semi-disposable. Macs are pricy because they're built to last, on the whole.
