Celebs getting various body parts insured is nothing new, Keith Richards insured his fingers, Mariah Carey had her legs insured, the list goes on. But when rumours spread about Jennifer Lopez, the actress and musician acted quickly to put them to rest.

Back in 1999, tabloid newspapers ran stories about J-Lo taking out insurance on her entire body. As the story spread, word of mouth meant facts and fiction were quickly married and the headline turned into just one part of her body was insured.

While the singer may have had a reputation for a high-quality bottom, she didn't actually take out butt insurance. It's something she has had to refute on multiple occasions, as the story is often cited to this day. However, some say her dismissals are subject to scrutiny, implying she isn't being truthful.

Lopez has been quoted as finding the story funny, but she doesn't know where they got it from. Normally, such a statement implies the story is false, but with her agent 'unable to confirm nor deny', people wondered if it was an attempt to cover it up.
