His mother was from a highly religious family, giving birth to him at the age of twenty two and out of wedlock. He became a student at the University of Washington and fell in love with the woman of his dreams. She was beautiful, wealthy and had social influence - all things that Bundy wanted for himself. The number of his victims has never been confirmed, but he was found guilty of the deaths of thirty six women. He would rape them and then beat them to death, performing sex acts on their decomposing bodies and keeping grizzly trophies like severed heads. His suspected death count is around one hundred with the youngest victim being just twelve years old.
